Molière premiered in Paris, France in 2023. Creatively blending rap, urban music and modern street dance, the musical depicts the life of the great French playwright Molière, bringing his story vividly to audiences in an innovative new form.

Written and composed by Dove Attia, the visionary creator of hit French musicals including Mozart, l’Opéra Rock and Le Roi Soleil, the production assembles France’s top‑tier creative team. More than sheer entertainment, it stands as a modern‑day tribute to France’s cultural heritage.

Since its premiere, the show has embarked on a rapid nationwide tour across France. Over 160 performances were completely sold‑out, drawing more than 500,000 spectators. It claimed seven prizes at the 2024 Trophées de la Comédie Musicale (French Musical Theatre Awards), among them Best Musical. That same year, it received a nomination for Best Musical Show at the prestigious Les Molières Awards (France’s highest theatre honours), cementing its status as an outstanding new blockbuster in French musical theatre.

In September 2025, Molière made its debut on Chinese stages, sparking a new wave of Sino‑French cultural exchange.
